2010 Fall Storytime

Autumn Border

Fall is not easy!
October 15th 11:00
Library Auditorium
Featured Skill:  Letter Knowledge
Letter of the Day: "W"
Our theme this week will center on fall and the change of the seasons.  We'll watch a small squirrel try to stay awake in "Waiting for winter" and see how hard it is for trees to know exactly how to change their leaves in "Fall isn't easy".  Some barnyard friends will have a misunderstanding in Valeri Gorbachev's "That's what friends are for", and we'll explore some new words and creative sounds with Bob Raczka's "Who love's Fall?".  We'll end our 45 minutes of fingerplays, stories, and songs with a creative leaf craft.  Remember, babies are welcome and so are grandparents!

Storytimes are designed for children who are 4-7 years old. However, anyone may attend and enjoy the stories, crafts, and other activities. Groups of three or more children are encouraged to register with the Children's Room. This way we can ensure that there are enough supplies for each child to enjoy.

Storytime this year will be at 11:00 on Friday mornings. The dates run from October 1 through December 10.

These programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call Dawn at 748-7525
